Custom Action Figures (batch 1)

  • My figure in comparison to the William Stout Collection Rebel Leader He-Man figure by Super7.
The first figure I had to make was He-Man from the 1987 movie. As a kid, I always tried to make my He-Man figure look like the Dolph Lundgren movie version and I was always disappointed that Mattel never made one. In true 80’s toy fashion I tried to reuse already available pieces. He-Man’s legs are from Trap-Jaw and shoulder pads from Beast Man. This was the figure I always wanted as a child.
This was an early mold I did but then later abandoned because I messed it up, later I turned him into Prince Adam. I used pink on the vest to make him more like the Filmation cartoon version, but I couldn’t help adding the stitching to give him more of a Robin Hood look. I think my favorite thing about this custom was the hot rod red sword.
I always loved the idea of this mysterious Wun-Dar or Wonder Bread He-Man that nobody really seems to know the story behind. Well, not exactly anyway. My favorite thing on this custom figure was the armor that is made completely from crafting foam. I am still shocked at how well it turned out.
And finally, for this first batch, we have Ultimate Battle Armor He-Man. It’s basically Battle Armor He-Man with just a little bit more armor coverage, but not enough to actually be effective in combat. He-Man still has to be able to show off his muscles.

Prince Adam, Cringer, Orko

Watched a couple of Youtube tutorials on coloring and shading in Photoshop, so I decided to try coloring this picture of Prince Adam, Orko, & Cringer. I also included a pencil and pen versions.

Artwork Catch-Up

  • Flash and the Justice League.
  • Did this right after watching new Spider-Man trailer and then immedietly forgot about it after hearing about the new Ghostbusters movie.

Inktober 2018 (final)

Here is the final pictures I did for Inktober (October 29,30, & 31). This is the first year I did a drawing everyday and I can’t believe it went bye so fast.

Inktober Day 29! Sorceress, heroic guardian of Castle Grayskull. 

Inktober Day 30! Samhain, the ghost of #Halloween⁠ ⁠ ?, from the #RealGhostbuster.

Inktober Day 31! Love drawing haunted houses, this is a twist on the one I did last year.

Inktober 2018 (2 more weeks)

Here are Inktober drawings, days 15-28. Can’t believe it’s almost over.

Inktober Day 15! Shadow Weaver from the 80’s She-Ra series. I really like the new design from the netflix series, can’t wait to watch it.

Inktober Day 16! Horde Trooper, Hordaks evil robot army. Just as cool looking as a Foot Soldier and just as incompetent.

Inktober Day 17! Mantenna, evil spy with the pop-out eyes ? This guy was super fun to draw.

Inktober Day 18! Grizzlor, hairy henchman Of The Evil Horde.

Inktober Day 19! Scarecrow from Batman The Animated Series, done in Funko Pop style.

Inktober Day 20! Funko Pop style Doctor Who.

Inktober Day 21! Man-E-Faces, heroic human… robot… monster.

Inktober Day 22! Used Ghostbusters World for the first time today and felt like drawing Slimer. Fun game so far!

Inktober Day 23! Reimagined Wingnut & Screwloose from TMNT.

Inktober Day 24! Mutagen Man from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Love drawing creepy weird TMNT characters.

Inktober Day 25! Spider-Man vs Venom! I don’t think I have drawn either of these two in years, forgot how fun it is.

Inktober Day 26! Egon Spengler from Ghostbusters.

Inktober Day 27! Rorschach, Nite Owl, and Silk Spector from the Watchmen. Still one of my top 3 favorite comic book movies.

Inktober Day 28! Man-At-Arms meets He-Man. Always loved this scene in the mini-comic, but to me, it looked like Man-At-Arms was wearing goggles so that is the way I drew it.
