I haven’t done a detailed X-Men picture in a long time. I did a mixture of current and classic with the costumes. Forgot how fun it is to draw team pictures.

Inktober 2018 (final)

Here is the final pictures I did for Inktober (October 29,30, & 31). This is the first year I did a drawing everyday and I can’t believe it went bye so fast.

Inktober Day 29! Sorceress, heroic guardian of Castle Grayskull. 

Inktober Day 30! Samhain, the ghost of #Halloween⁠ ⁠ ?, from the #RealGhostbuster.

Inktober Day 31! Love drawing haunted houses, this is a twist on the one I did last year.

Inktober 2018 (2 more weeks)

Here are Inktober drawings, days 15-28. Can’t believe it’s almost over.

Inktober Day 15! Shadow Weaver from the 80’s She-Ra series. I really like the new design from the netflix series, can’t wait to watch it.

Inktober Day 16! Horde Trooper, Hordaks evil robot army. Just as cool looking as a Foot Soldier and just as incompetent.

Inktober Day 17! Mantenna, evil spy with the pop-out eyes ? This guy was super fun to draw.

Inktober Day 18! Grizzlor, hairy henchman Of The Evil Horde.

Inktober Day 19! Scarecrow from Batman The Animated Series, done in Funko Pop style.

Inktober Day 20! Funko Pop style Doctor Who.

Inktober Day 21! Man-E-Faces, heroic human… robot… monster.

Inktober Day 22! Used Ghostbusters World for the first time today and felt like drawing Slimer. Fun game so far!

Inktober Day 23! Reimagined Wingnut & Screwloose from TMNT.

Inktober Day 24! Mutagen Man from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Love drawing creepy weird TMNT characters.

Inktober Day 25! Spider-Man vs Venom! I don’t think I have drawn either of these two in years, forgot how fun it is.

Inktober Day 26! Egon Spengler from Ghostbusters.

Inktober Day 27! Rorschach, Nite Owl, and Silk Spector from the Watchmen. Still one of my top 3 favorite comic book movies.

Inktober Day 28! Man-At-Arms meets He-Man. Always loved this scene in the mini-comic, but to me, it looked like Man-At-Arms was wearing goggles so that is the way I drew it.

Beak Time Sketches!

Just some quick sketches I do on break in the mini notebook that I carry around at work. I suppose I could get a mini sketchbook so I wouldn’t have lines, but this way I can just draw and not worry about it looking good enough for expensive paper. In other words I am just having fun.

I was working off of a couple pictures for this. Although I was really pleased with how they turned out they really don’t look like the people in the pictures. The first lady is Audrey Hepburn and the second is Anne Hathaway.

I was flipping through and X-Men comic from the 90’s and got the urge to draw Cyclops. The guy on the right is supposed to be Peter Capaldi, the new Doctor. And then there is Batman.

X-Men Schism

I know this is a little behind current comic events but I just had to write about how awesome the story arc was in X-men Schism. First off it focused on the core differences between Cyclops and Wolverine that had been brewing since Giant Sized  X-Men #1… Okay so maybe not that long ago, but they finally had it out. This is what should have happened in that third craptacular X-Men movie. Wolverine and Cyclops give it hell (no holds barred) but when it comes down to it realize they need to put their differences aside to get the job done. They literally beat the living crap out of each other and at the final second when the Sentinel strikes they just ignore it and continue the ass kickings until the absolute last second and then team up to destroy the enemy.

Awesome story with an interesting outcome.

My one complaint is Wolverine and the X-Men? WTF?

No Cyclops and the X-Men?
