Faker. Again!

I decided to recustomize my custom Revelation Faker action figure. The original was dyed and hand painted, and look really cool, but I really wanted to see how it would look airbrushed with some shiny paint.

The final picture is the original custom faker that I made, there are more pictures in the Custom Action Figures section.

April O’Neil from Rise Of The TMNT

I was always annoyed that the Rise TMNT April O’Neil figure didn’t really look like the cartoon character so I made my own in Blender, 3D printed, and painted it.
What do you think?

Is it an improvement?

A few years back I got some of these Elite Ninja TMNT action figures with the intention of making customs and after several attempts I finally finished them.

I recently started using an airbrush to paint and I was able to get some nice tones on the chest shells and the green skin. I also used a metallic green to give the back shells that bright color.

There were a couple failed attempts at customizing these figures including hand painting (above), which I was so disappointed in that I just set them aside and forgot about them. I also airbrushed them and had to remove the paint when it started to peal teaching me why primer is so important.
So what is the verdict? Is this an improvement? Let me know what you think?

New Eternia Panthor review

I am so happy with this Panthor figure. My first thought was that it was just a repaint of the Revelation Battle Cat and in some ways it is. The main body is a repaint, but it’s not glossy purple, there is an almost metalic blue/ purple look. I’m not sure how to describe it, but it looks really cool and it just doesn’t show up well in the pictures. He also has faint black spots just like a real panther, IYKYK.

The head is new and has glass eyes. The jaw not only opens, but the top teeth move up into the head giving it a more natural look when the jaw is closed. The helmet also has eye holes so the glass eyes are visible with or without it.

My favorite part is the saddle, filled with tons of details, skulls, faces, and a spinel column in the rear.

The box art alone makes this figure worth buying. I really hope there will be a New Eternia Battle Cat soon.

Foot Soldier

I 3D printed this Foot Soldier about a year ago, but I’m finally just posting it here now. I purchased the scanned file and decided to add some much needed details. It’s printed in resin and hand painted with acrylic craft paints.

Masters of the Universe Classics

I think I made these over a year ago, but I never got around to posting them here. I used a scan of a MotU Classics He-Man that I downloaded from Thingiverse or somewhere. Using Blender 3D I was able to clean it up and add lots of detail, some that were lost in the scanning process and some that made them into different characters. The figures and weapons are Resin 3D prints and the armor is printed with flexible TPU filament.

Traag and Granitor

I recently made some custom action figures for a friend who loves the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, but was bummed they had one Triceraton and zero Rock Soldiers in the toy line.

These were all designed from scratch using the Blender 3D software and printed using a Resin 3D printer.

You can purchase the files to print on your own at https://cults3d.com/en/users/Skele-Nate/3d-models

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Custom Action Figures

Slash Custom Action Figure

A friend commissioned me to make some figures from the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. The second figure I finished was Slash, he is created with a silicone mold that was soaked in mineral spirits to increase its size and then resin cast. This process is rather difficult and I had to build the hands and spikes from scratch. What do you think?

Leatherhead Custom Action Figure

A friend commissioned me to make some figures from the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. The first one I finished was Leatherhead, he is completely 3D printed, but things like his teeth come out underwhelming so they needed to be fixed. Oh yeah and he is bigger. Way bigger. What do you think? Did it turn out okay?
